School Vision

Meadow Springs Education Support Centre is an integrated specialist school that caters for students in Years K-6 who have an intellectual disability and / or autism.  Each class has between 6 and 12 students where our highly skilled staff provide explicit, comprehensive programs to students. Our school currently has  80% of students with a diagnosis of Autism and 30% of our students have complex communication needs. We have trained staff and specialist resources to support the needs of our students. We work closely with families and therapists to ensure our goals for students are consistent across all environments.

We are one of five schools in Western Australia to offer an Autism Early Intensive Intervention Program for children in Kindy and Pre-primary. We have been providing this popular, highly sought after program for over 10 years.

We maintain a positive relationship with Meadow Springs Primary School. Our admin and office staff all work from the front office and our classrooms are integrated throughout the teaching blocks. Our staff and our students are involved in all whole school activities that happen across the school.

Our school vision is all about creating successful students. Success means different things to different people. At Meadow Springs ESC success is about developing independent and confident learners. We ensure that every child has the support available to communicate their needs and  to develop emotional resilience. We are a Positive Behaviour Support School which means we are focussed on creating a positive learning environment in all our classrooms. Our positive classrooms are focussed on 3 behaviour expectations:

  • I am Safe
  • I am Respectful
  • I Try My Best
