Aboriginal and Islander Education Officer (AIEO)

Kaya, my name is Hayley Standring and I’m the Aboriginal and Islander Education Officer (AIEO) here at Meadow Springs Education Support Centre.

I’m a Murri woman, from Queensland, but I’ve called the Mandurah area home since 1996. Growing up in Mandurah has given me the privilege of learning from and being part of Noongar culture, which I hold close to my heart.

Identity, connection, and feeling safe to be yourself is important to me. In my role, I work hard to build strong, genuine relationships with our students, their families, and our staff. I’m here to support cultural learning, student wellbeing, community connections, and to help create a school environment where every student feels welcome, understood, and proud of who they are.

I’m around on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays—please feel free to pop in for support or just a yarn.

I’m looking forward to getting to know you and being part of your child’s journey here at MSESC.
